First of all, setting yourself up a business page on Google+ couldn’t be easier. It is actually easier than Facebook, and the system is quick and friendly, so you can get yourself up and running in no time.

Google is now offering business pages, and personal pages, a custom URL. At the time of writing, you can only have the URL that Google chooses for you, which unfortunately does limit your options. Also, Google has been known to offer some URL options that simply don’t make sense! But, if you are offered your company name as a custom URL, it now opens up plenty of opportunities to advertise your page in your offline marketing materials. After all, no one wanted to put the old, long style URL on a small business card, did they?
When you start to add people into circles, make sure you give it some thought. Think of circles as putting people into categories and understand that you can then limit your posts so only certain types of people can see particular types of posts. No other social network offers this kind of flexibility and control over who sees what.
